Twist Museum, Oxford Street
We provided structural engineering advice for the fit out of the new Twist Museum on Oxford Street. The basement space was previously a clothing retail store and so the change in use required new building services which had to pass through the existing structure, requiring opening up works to understand the existing building.
The stair and lift core was re-located and a new lift introduced, which required coordination with the existing foundations of the columns. Graphic Structures attended site regularly through construction to investigate the building and gain Landlord Approval for the works.
We are planning a company social to check out the finished museum, which offers an immersive experience testing how we understand the world around us through interactive exhibitions.
